As reported by Al-Arabiya, a Saudi court has imposed a 20-year prison sentence on the former director of public security, Lieutenant General Khalid bin Qar al-Harbi. Media sources indicate that he faced charges of abuse of power, misappropriation of public funds, forgery, and bribery.
Lieutenant General Khalid bin Qar al-Harbi has been ordered to pay a fine of 1 million riyals, which is to be deposited into the government treasury. Reports from Arab media indicate that an investigation has been initiated following the dismissal of Khalid bin Qar al-Harbi from his position. Additionally, over 10 million riyals, which were received as bribes, along with other forms of illicit gains, including gifts and agricultural land, have been confiscated. The court has imposed this penalty in accordance with criminal law, as reported by Arab media.
